Movers General English (Online Course)

课程结束后可望达到的英语等级

完成4部分的儿童中级英语课程后,学生的英语水平将达到 A2 级别 。虽然没有权威机构为该课程进行等级认证,但本课程将帮助学生提升英语能力,备考剑桥 KET考试(见下图第三柱底部)。学生还可以进入儿童高级课程(Flyers General English)并升级到 A2 级别。本课程适合 7-9 岁的学生。

语音学

语音学很简单有趣!孩子们学会识别并产生英语的声音,形成它们的字母以及包含它们的单词。这意味着每种声音都以易于理解的方式进行教学。该课程专为非母语人士编写,特别适合不使用罗马字母的儿童。

入学要求

  • 初学英语高段/基础英语水平低段(A1级);
  • 完成初学英语课程的学生或者具备初学英语知识水平的学生。

持续时间

本课程包括 4 个部分,每个部分 15 小时,整个课程总共 60 学时。

推荐的学习强度

  • 每周上课 3 次,可以在 7-8 个月内完成本课程;
  • 每周上课 2 次,可以在 10-12 个月内完成本课程。

课程目标

完成英特海少儿英语中级课程以后,学生可望具有以下英文能力:

1)听与说

借助图片能听懂某些涉及熟悉话题的简单的对话

能听懂某些非常简单的关于人物与事物的描述

能使用简单和简短的词组来表达对某人的赞同或反对

能够用简单的短语和句子回答日常话题的提问

能够简单描述事物、图片和行动

能够借助图片讲述一个非常简单的故事

能够询问某人的情况,并询问有关习惯和偏好的简单问题

2)阅读与写作

能够理解某些简单的指示牌和公告

借助图片能够阅读某些简短的事实文本

借助图片能够阅读和理解一些简短而简单的日常话题

能够写有关图片和日常话题的简短词组和句子

能够写简单的句子以此提供个人详细信息

能够写关于喜欢和不喜欢的简短而简单的句子

Movers General English (Online Course)

Qualification

Completion of the 4-part Movers course would result in an A2 level of English – no official qualification from the course but would equip student with language to sit the Cambridge KET exam (see below at the bottom of third column). The student will also be able to proceed onto the Flyers course and advance to A2 level. This course is designed for 7-9 years old pupils.

Course summary

The course looks to build on the basics of the English language (featured in the Movers course), such as:

  • Classroom objects
  • Ordinal numbers (first, second, third…)
  • Feelings
  • Outdoor activities
  • School subjects
  • Everyday activities
  • Times of the day
  • Places vocabulary
  • Weather vocabulary
  • Clothes vocabulary
  • Prepositions of place
  • Telling the time
  • Question forms with auxiliaries (do/does)
  • Possessive adjectives/pronouns (your / yours etc)
  • Present continuous (I am wearing
  • Comparatives (bigger, smaller)
  • Past simple (I walked, you were)

This course has a very clear methodology with objectives for every lesson, and carefully staged activities to support pupils’ learning.

Every unit opens with a clear vocabulary and grammar presentation to introduce new language. The challenging syllabus encourages children to achieve more.

Skills Time! lessons provide a strong structured skills programme so listening, speaking and literacy skills are continually improving.

Phonics

Phonics is straightforward and fun! Children learn to recognize and produce the sounds of English, the letters that form them and the words that contain them. This means each sound is taught in a way that’s easy to understand. The progression is specially written for non-native speakers and is particularly well structured for children who do not use the Roman alphabet.

Entry requirements

  • High beginner/low elementary level of English (A1 level);
  • Completion or knowledge of Starters course content

Duration

Four 15-hour parts to complete entire course (60 hours in total)

Recommended Intensity of Study

  • Taking 3 classes per week, students will be able to complete this course in 7-8 months;
  • Taking 2 classes per week, students will be able to complete this course in 10-12 months.

Course Objectives

On completion of InterHigh English Movers Course, young learners are expected to have English capabilities described as follows:

1) Listening and Speaking

CAN understand some simple spoken dialogues about familiar topics with the help of pictures

CAN understand some very simple spoken descriptions of people and objects

CAN express agreement or disagreement with someone using short, simple phrases

CAN respond to questions on familiar topics with simple phrases and sentences

CAN give simple descriptions of objects, pictures and actions

CAN tell a very simple story with the help of pictures

CAN ask someone how they are and ask simple questions about habits and preferences

2) Reading and Writing

CAN understand some simple signs and notices

CAN read and understand some short factual texts with the help of pictures

CAN read and understand some short, simple stories about familiar topics with the help of pictures

CAN write short, simple phrases and sentences about pictures and familiar topics

CAN write simple sentences giving personal details

CAN write short, simple sentences about likes and dislikes

3) Grammar and Structure
